It was her second back following several layoffs and it's a plus to see her stringing starts together. I give her a slight edge but box your bets in this race as her outside post is a bit of a negative.
2nd pick: #4 (Anomaly) (3-1) - A very lightly raced home bred, he tired late after racing close up when missing by just over 4 lengths here Jan. 11. Only his 2nd start, it was his first on the grass and it came for a $35,000 price tag. Down to $20K today, he's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Miss Aliphant) (6-1) - She's finished second in two straight at this tag and trip in races that were taken 'off the turf'. One-run type has acceptable grass form and is a threat at a square price.
4th pick: #1 (Mambo Dancer) (5-1) - $50,000 daughter of 'Blame' chased and tired in an 'off the turf' contest here Jan. 20. She was passed down the stretch by 'Miss Aliphant' but she clearly prefers racing on the grass. The 4yo has the rail and must be left in the mix.
