Top pick: #6 (FAST ACTION) (8-1) - Price play tired in her first pair racing on the Presque Isle "poly" and has been freshened up since late August. She's working well locally for her new trainer, Pete Walder, (26% with new arrivals) and he has John Velazquez aboard.
2nd pick: #3 (Wildcat Gaze) (6-1) - She's brought back quickly after a troubled debut Nov. 29. Home bred was heavily backed that afternoon and did show some sharp late run. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (La Moskette) (8-1) - One of six making their debuts, filly by "Musket Man" has some very sharp works on view. Her trainer (Jose Garoffalo) is capable first out and think this home bred has a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #8 (Ice Women) (5-1) - $180,000 daughter of "Street Sense" is another making her debut and she's been in steady training since late Sept. In a very good first out barn (Ralph Nicks 20%) and she must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #2 (Little Miss Julia) (15-1) - Longshot exits the same last race as "Wildcat Gaze" and she rallied to finish fourth, following some problems at the start. Brought back on short notice and filly has veteran Joel Rosario aboard in this spot.
