Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (SINATRA) (4-1) - He's one of two entered by trainer George Navarro, and the pair race uncoupled. Veteran gelding rallied strongly to miss by a half-length at this tag Nov. 15 in his first start since Aug. 24. There's plenty of speed signed on to help set up his late run, and I give him a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Bay Bridge) (7-2) - The second of the Navarro pair, he's racing for the trainer for the first time (a strong 24% winning angle). 5yo ships from Laurel where he finished 2nd Oct. 26 while facing a bit weaker. Speed/stalker completes a solid hand from the barn.
3rd pick: #3 (Piloting) (6-1) - Another veteran gelding, he rallied while wide to finish 3rd, only a bit more than a length in back of 'Sinatra' Nov. 15. He's yet to win in nine starts on the grass, but has been very sharp in his last pair on it.
4th pick: #1 (Sambucca Steve) (12-1) - Very fast from the gate, this career sprinter has the rail, and enters off a good local effort in a $100K turf sprint on 'Claiming Crown' day here Dec. 1. He'll take them as far as he can at a big price.
