2nd pick: #5 (Trinity) (3-1) - This French import rallied to finish a close up 3rd here going 8.5 furlongs Jan. 30. It was his first in No. America, first since March 4, and first on the turf. A win candidate here.
3rd pick: #7 (Cardinal Kitten) (4-1) - A very lightly raced 5yo, he was competitive in both starts last year at Woodbine. Each was at this level on the grass and one was at this distance. Working fast locally, this son of 'Kitten's Joy' must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (First Commander) (5-1) - Blinkers go on this Godolphin 4yo by 'Medaglia d'Oro.' He rallied while wide to check in 5th of 10, beaten 3.5 lengths here at 8.5 furlongs Jan. 30. It was his first since May 13, first on the grass, and was a positive outing.
