Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (SOUPER SCAT DADDY) (5-2) - A very lightly raced son of 'Scat Daddy', this 4yo sold for $950,000 as a 2yo in training back in March of 2017. He missed by just under a length here at this level and distance Jan. 10 and probably would have won if not for some serious traffic issues at the head of the stretch. He has the rail and can win this with a 'clean' trip.
2nd pick: #7 (Blue Lute) (7-2) - He's gone 5-2-2-1 since being claimed for $50K by Mike Maker in late May. Stalker was only a length behind 'Souper Scat Daddy' here Jan. 10 and has been sharp in all three starts at this level. An obvious contender.
3rd pick: #8 (Expected Ruler) (2-1) - He won here at this level and distance Jan. 10 while defeating four of today's rivals in the process. Veteran enters in very sharp form and is an obvious contender.
4th pick: #4 (Trumpi) (6-1) - He won his debut back in early August of 2017 but has lost nine straight since then. However, he finished an even fourth here at this level Jan. 10 in his second back off a two-month break and I like that leading rider Luis Saez sticks with him.
