3rd pick: #10 (Blue Eyed Beth) (9-2) - 'Beth' was 1.5 lengths in front of 'Rotate' when debuting in an 'off the turf' contest Dec 21. Moved up in class next out, she tired going 6 furlongs on the dirt Jan 20. She's worked three times since, drops back down, and is on the grass for the first time.
4th pick: #2 (Miami Rose) (6-1) - She has good early speed and breaks just off the rail in what will be her first on the grass. State bred should be involved from gate-to-wire.
5th pick: #1 (Arms Wide Open) (12-1) - Unraced since an even effort when debuting July 20 at Saratoga, she has a new trainer (Bob Falcone Jr) and he drops her into a claimer while switching her to the grass. Blinkers go on, longshot is bred to handle the turf, but the long layoff is not a plus.
