Colt missed by a 'head' here at this level going a mile Dec. 15 and has worked a half-dozen times since Dec. 31. He has the rail and will be very tough in this spot.
2nd pick: #5 (The Great Scatsby) (7-2) - The second of the pair from trainer Chad Brown, 4-year-old by 'Scat Daddy' sold for $4000,000 as a 2-year-old in training back in March of 2016. Four-year-old makes his debut off of a steady series of works and Brown (18% first out) has Javier Castellano aboard.
3rd pick: #8 (Daddy's Cozy) (3-1) - Another 4-year-old by 'Scat Daddy', he was only a length in back of 'Battle of Blenheim' Dec. 15, but regressed a bit in his follow up Jan. 21. Back on a quick turnaround, leading rider Luis Saez stays aboard.
4th pick: #3 (Ride on Faith) (12-1) - Longshot isn't a win candidate, but even paced gelding by 'Candy Ride' is going dirt to turf and stretching back out in distance. May hold down a share at a very big price.
