Stalker is nicely spotted and the trainer is having a strong meet at 9-5-2-0 (56%). Four-year-old was in good form on the NYRA circuit when he was claimed and it's noted that Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard.
2nd pick: #4 (Social Roy) (4-1) - He's won five of his last six with the latest pair coming here at this distance. Six-year-old defeated similar Dec. 28 and ran the 6 furlongs in 1:09.80. Given a brief freshening, he's working steadily and is an obvious threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Salute With Honor) (3-1) - On the sidelines since early May, he's lightly-raced, stakes placed, and is working fast for his return. Beautifully spotted by Mark Casse, he has John Velazquez aboard and this home bred enters off a bullet half-mile gate breeze at the Palm Meadows center Jan. 26. He could win this if ready.
