Four-year-old moves out in the gate, drops into a claimer for the first time, and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Repetitious) (8-5) - The morning line and probable heavy favorite, New York shipper is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Five-year-old enters off a pair of fourth place finishes going six furlongs on the grass and both came facing tougher. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Domenic) (10-1) - Longshot has finished second in four of eight starts at this distance. He had some traffic issues here Dec. 15 when beaten just over a length and can get a share of this at a big price from his ground saving post.
4th pick: #2 (Townie) (12-1) - Another NYRA shipper, 4-year-old has a bit of speed but has already lost at a lower claiming price. He was idle for four months before finishing fourth in a dirt sprint at Aqueduct Nov. 5 and has now been idle two more months. I believe a minor award at a big price may be his ceiling.
