Barn drops him into a $25K claimer, he draws a much better post here, and the 3yo worked a bullet five furlongs from the gate at the Palm Meadows Center March 20. He gets top billing.
2nd pick: #10 (Voicesinthedarknez) (4-1) - Gelding had early traffic issues, made a bid around the far turn, then weakened to finish 6th of 10, beaten by almost 10-lengths here going a mile for a $75K tag Feb. 14. It was only his second start, first on the grass, and a big move forward off his debuting sprinting on dirt Jan. 9. Florida-bred runs off a private trainer change to George Arnold, and he drops him down to a $25K price tag. Dangerous today.
3rd pick: #12 (Plan of Attack) (5-1) - He moves back up in price in his first off a claim by veteran Kate O'Connell. Gelding had traffic issues and a very wide trip when finishing 4th of 11, beaten by just over three lengths here for a $16K tag Feb. 12. He draws a tough post, but is a threat against this lightly raced group.
4th pick: #6 (Starship Bubba) (6-1) - He runs first off a Mike Maker claim (15% angle), and he moves him back to the grass after he tired at this level and distance on the dirt March 5. Colt has worked twice since the trainer change, and it's noted that Luis Saez is aboard. He and Maker have won at a 24% clip when teamed up in 2019-20.
