Runs today off a 7 week break and with a slight reduction in price. Trainer Eddie Kenneally has him spotted today where he can pick up his maiden win.
2nd pick: #6 (My Kryptonite) - Colt has been competitive at Woodbine racing at this level on their synthetic surface and trainer Mark Casse brings him south to race on conventional dirt. Barn is one of the best in Canada, and he must think that this colt can handle the surface switch.
3rd pick: #1 (Runawayeightyfour) - Bargain-priced son of "Mineshaft" cost only $17K and tired in his debut at Monmouth in early June facing special weights. On the sidelines since, he's in a very good barn (Dave Fawkes) and colt is working fast for his return. Has the rail and factor today at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Chief Thundercloud) - $200K son of "Indian Charlie" did not lift a hoof in his debut at Monmouth in late June. Runs off a 7 month layoff and trainer Todd Pletcher hangs the "for sale" sign out today. Working above average and frequency at Palm Meadows for his return he can factor today on the drop into a claimer.
