2nd pick: #3 (Lapis Storm) (7-2) - Clearly the main speed, she's stretching out to a mile in her local debut. 4yo was a gate-to-wire winner by almost 3 lengths traveling 6 furlongs at Hawthorne to clear the 2l condition. In her follow up there Jan. 3, she tired to finish fourth after setting a quick and pressured pace. Homebred has worked twice since arriving and the high percentage barn of Larry Rivelli has leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr aboard.
