Lightly-raced colt finished second here facing weaker in a sprint Jan. 18. It was his first in nine months following a good effort in the G1 Arkansas Derby. Stalker had won the G2 Rebel Stakes in his previous race and looks set for a big effort this afternoon.
2nd pick: #3 (Conquest Big E) (8-1) - The main speed, 4-year-old by 'Tapit' missed by just under a length here at this distance in the Fred Hooper Stakes (G3) Jan. 27. He enters of a near bullet half-mile breeze Feb. 16 and leading rider Luis Saez is aboard for the first time.
3rd pick: #8 (Send It In) (7-2) - The second of the Pletcher pair he hasn't raced since wining a G3 stakes at Aqueduct in early April. Working fast at Palm Beach Downs, stalker like this distance 5-1-2-2 and is a threat if ready.
4th pick: #2 (Economic Model) (3-1) - Strong finisher is working well above average for his first since Oct. 12. He's dangerous with his best, but will need to be for anything more than a minor award.
