Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (BLAMED) (5-2) - Speedy filly tired badly here going 7 furlongs on a sloppy surface in a G3 stakes Jan. 26. Multiple stakes winner had gone 8-6-2-0 prior to that and is brought back quickly by trainer Bill Mott. She's worked fast since has a fine outside post, and Irad Ortiz Jr is aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #1 (Tequilita) (2-1) - Mare won the local Rampart Stakes (G3) here at this distance Dec. 15 which pushed her over the $600,000 mark in earnings. Stalker has the rail, is working steadily at the Palm Meadows Center, and is an obvious contender.
3rd pick: #3 (Another Broad) (7-2) - Cheaper sort runs of a private trainer change to Todd Pletcher (24% with new arrivals). She missed by a 'neck' at this distance in a stakes for fellow Maryland breds Nov. 24 at Laurel and is now 3-2-1-0 at this mile trip. 4yo has a nice series of works at the Palm Beach Downs Training Center and it's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard.
4th pick: #5 (Jala Lala) (8-1) - Mexican bred has won 13 of 23 overall and is 4-for-6 at this mile distance. Mare won a $100K stakes here on Latin American Racing Day Dec 8 and it's hard to knock her record and consistency. She's in much deeper waters today but may factor at a square price.
