2nd pick: #7 (Iron Johnny) (5-2) - Colt raced evenly here facing much tougher Feb. 23 and the hot barn of Mike Maker drops him well down in value for this attempt. A strong win candidate and I could have easily made him the top selection.
3rd pick: #4 (Nonno Nino) (8-1) - Speed/stalker raced both wide and evenly here Feb. 22. Grey gelding had had been much more competitive in five straight prior to that and has a shot with his best at a square price.
4th pick: #2 (Spring Joy) (7-2) - Very lightly-raced, he was only beaten 5 lengths here for a $20K tag Feb. 23. Home bred had an outside journey and draws a better post for this attempt.
