Premium Pick

Top pick: #7 (DINO DOMINIC) - Heavily bet in his debut sprinting at Calder Dec. 18, he caught a "sloppy" track and a poor outside post and gelding raced evenly in a good educational run. Has another nice work since his initial effort, he'll stretch-out in distance to a mile, and his high percentage trainer (Nick Canani 37%) takes his blinkers off. The top pick.

2nd pick: #11 (Arch Thirteen) - Improving with each start, he tired last out at this tag going two-turns after chasing a runner that won easily. Cut-back to one turn, a nice outside post, and the addition of blinkers makes him a win candidate.

3rd pick: #6 (Awesome Brew) - Well-bet in his debut in an "off the turf" race at Aqueduct he was racing well within range when he was forced to "steady" and lost all chance at that point. Training steadily for a very good barn (Chad Brown) colt races off a two month break, takes a big drop, and gets blinkers on. Win candidate.

4th pick: #2 (Carry on Hawkeye) - He was improving at the Meadowlands when that meet came to an end and after five starts trainer Dave Fawkes decided to give him a seven-week freshening. The tag and distance are fine and he has some positional speed. He's worked three times on this strip in the past month. Contender.
