Top pick: #1 (HOT ROXX) (8-5) - Filly raced evenly here at this tag going 5.5 furlongs on Aug. 18 and will shorten up a bit in distance and move to the rail. Trainer Cloff Delima drops her down to the local bottom ($5000) for the first time and she meets a very weak field. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Sinful Renegade) (6-1) - Price play rated, bid, and weakened here on Aug. 18 and her connections drop her back down, shorten her up a 1/16th, and filly draws a better post. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #2 (Dot's Onthewarpath) (5-1) - Lightly-raced filly finished second two back in a small field on the Sacramento dirt, then showed little last out at Santa Rosa. Home-bred has a pair of impressive local works since then and breaks just off the rail.
4th pick: #8 (I Gigi) (4-1) - Freshened up since late may, grey mare finished third in two of four starts earlier this year on this surface. Working fine for her return, 5-year-old doesn't have much early speed and breaks from a tough outside post. She needs a fast/and or contested pace for anything more than a minor award.
