I don't believe he cared for the 'off' going and I give him the edge if that track is fast.
2nd pick: #2 (Sarvelio) (5-2) - He's lightly raced and is clearly the main speed. A 4yo gelding, he tired to check in a distant third at this level going a mile Jan. 16. From a winning barn (Bev Burress), he breaks just off the rail and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Indulgences) (3-1) - A home-bred 5yo, he's been competitive five straight starts here at this level. One-run type is in shape, has a ground-saving post, and he finished second the last time he ran at this 8.5 furlong trip.
4th pick: #3 (Clever Racer) (15-1) - Stalker tired after chasing the pace to finish 4.5 lengths in back of 'Indulgences' here Jan. 16. He's a bit light on his best figures, so at this point, a minor award at a big price would appear to be his ceiling.
