(# 2) BALTIC - Runner ships down from Belmont Park for this maiden claimer. He has a work listed over this surface, so he's apparently been here a while. Trainer Nick Zito, who had a maiden winner on yesterday's card, usually keeps a small presence here. Horse's claiming price is halved here and he would appear to have some speed to offer in a race that doesn't have much. Wire-to-wire threat.

(# 9) Falmouth - He has had some good tries in Florida before being sent to a new trainer (Tony Pecoraro) here at Delaware. Dropped in last and blinkers went on, but he was bumped at the start, so race is essentially a toss-out. Deserves another chance.

(# 11) Zahaazeh - Hasn't come close to running to his pedigree. Runner tried turf for the second consecutive time on May 29, after he had been away for over three months. Poor effort, so he's dropped to $10K today and returns to the dirt. Could factor with these.

(# 8) Colonial Son - Son of Pleasant Tap is sent long for the first time off of two sprint preps. Lasix was added last time and his finish was better (third), but his speed figure declined. He should appreciate the longer distance.
