(# 13) FOR THE KIDS - Well-backed in initial start at Golden Gate on May 19. Gelding by El Corredor had trained sharply for that debut run and had the misfortune to break slowly. Ran on well without being asked for too much. Freshened up since, he enters this first Polytrack experience off a fine series of works. Blinkers go on for a good trainer in Eric Kruljac. Might surprise them.

(# 11) Sierra Gold - Ran once here as a two-year-old over the old dirt surface. Took some money that day, and Nakatani was enticed. Away until June 28, at the Plesanton Fair, he showed good speed in a well-bet situation. Continues to train quickly and he should run much better second off the layoff.

(# 6) Steamy Story - Looms a heavy favorite, and deservedly so. Has the best figures (which came on Hollywood's Poly-surface) and he's training well for first start since April 29. We'll use him, but I think he's beatable.

(# 's 1 and 4) Sur Chi Chi and Mystery Hunter - Both are in the same figure range and have been running evenly. Either could step it up a bit today.
