Top pick: #8 (ATHINA LEE) (3-1) - Un-raced since June of 2012, filly is working fast for her return and trainer Pete Miller is having an excellent start to this meet. Blinkers go on, she goes turf to "poly," and drops into a claimer for the first time.
2nd pick: #12 (Flaxen Maiden) (5-1) - Win candidate, she has some early speed, draws a nice outside post, and races second back from a 4 1/2 month layoff. Drops to a new low and is very dangerous.
3rd pick: #4 (Warren's Chaser) (12-1) - Unseen since Feb. 18th, daughter of "Tapit" is working fast here for her return and will be a big price.
4th pick: #2 (Party Bus) (6-1) - Filly raced evenly at Hollywood on July 12th and it was her first since March 23rd. Can grab a share, but needs to better late.
5th pick: #9 (Star of the Night) (20-1) - Longshot isn't a win candidate, but with her best she can grab a minor award at a very big price.
