Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (RING COLLECTOR) (5-1) - Lightly-raced, he's dropping into a claimer for the first time and is switching from turf to dirt. He tired here facing tougher on the grass July 15 in his first race since mid-September and I like this quick turnaround and drop in class.
2nd pick: #3 (Money Makin Mike) (8-1) - Colt tired here at this price tag June 23. It was his first race in almost 8/5 months and he was claimed that day by Steve Knapp. New barn brings him back quickly and removes his blinkers. Dangerous at a square price.
3rd pick: #4 (Candy Cowboy) (4-1) - On the sidelines since debuting in late October of 2014, he's working above average and is taking a big drop i class. Win candidate if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Gavination) (9-2) - The probable main speed, he's run well in his last four starts, all at this level going around two-turns. It's of note that small barn has Bejarano aboard for the first time.
5th pick: #7 (Alston) (4-1) - Gelding has finished second in three of his last four and speed/stalker should be competitive again today. Can contend, but is no lock at a short price.
