Top pick: #11 (STORMIN RAE) - Sharp maiden win last out at Hollywood showed a big step forward from his first start where he finished a strong second despite some traffic issues. Draws a trouble free post and he's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #9 (Lucky Mr. K) - Heavily bet in both his starts he won very easily at Hollywood when debuting June 23 then finished second in a stakes at the Pleasanton Fair on real dirt when he was "off slowly". Has a nice pair of local works since and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Offlee Wild Boys) - Improving with racing he broke his maiden here July 28 making him the only member of this 11 horse field to have a win on this surface. Speed/stalker loses Rosario to the top pick but Marty Garcia is a more than able replacement.
4th pick: #6 (Edgewick Road) - He's held his own in four starts facing open company and one-run type will face fellow Cal-breds for the first time. Stretch threat.
