2nd pick: #8 (Scatchmeifyoucan) (5-2) - Speedy filly is the morning line favorite. She set a quick pace and held to finish second here at this tag going 5.5-furlongs Aug. 12. It was her second back off a 7 1/2 month layoff and a career best. Obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Avo) (10-1) - Reddam home bred tired after rushing up following a stumbling start here at this tag and trip Aug. 5. She had finished second at Los Alamitos in her previous start and is a threat with a trouble free break.
4th pick: #14 (Canadian Exchange) (7-2) - Filly set a slow pace and still tired when finishing second here at this distance for a $30K tag Aug 13. A good effort, but she needs to do a bit better from this tough outside post.
5th pick: #2 (Lana Caprina) (12-1) - Speed/stalker will be facing pace pressure to her outside, so believe a small slice is her ceiling. Believe she could do better if stalking tactics are used.
