Premium Pick

Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (VALE DORI) (5-2) - Argentine import has gone 4-2-1-0 on conventional dirt since coming here from the UAE in early April. Talented speed/stalker is lightly raced, working fast, and still has room for upside. From the Baffert barn, 4-year-old will be tough in this spot.

2nd pick: #3 (Gloryzapper) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Phil D'Amato, she's the main speed nearest the rail. Consistent sort has gone 8-4-3-0 on real dirt and is a perfect three for three here at Del Mar.

3rd pick: #6 (Wild At Heart) (5-1) - Stalker is going turf to dirt and is stretching out in distance. $450,000 daughter of 'Indian Charlie' is 7-2-3-2 on the dirt and was only a 1/2 length in back of 'Gloryzapper' in a G3 sprint stakes Oct 9 at Los Alamitos.

4th pick: #8 (Desert Madam) (12-1) - Longshot moves way up in class for this attempt. Veteran mare has improved with age and is 11-5-3-2 this year, with all of those coming on the dirt. Five-year-old has a fine local record 8-2-4-0 and may grab a share at a big price.
