Only her second start, it was her first since debuting here last Nov. in a grass sprint. She runs first off a claim by leading trainer Peter Miller (a 21% winning angle) and her outside post at this longer distance is a big plus.
2nd pick: #7 (Gia Lua) (4-1) - She chased a solid pace and held gamely to finish second here at this level and distance Aug. 3. Filly has become competitive since dropping into claimers and is dangerous today.
3rd pick: #5 (Kelseybelle) (5-1) - She moves off the rail following a fourth-place finish here at this tag Aug. 8. It was her first start since June 2, first ever on conventional dirt, and I like that she runs back on a quick turnaround.
4th pick: #6 (Tengs Rhythm) (6-1) - No-speed type has finished second in three straight and did so here going a mile Aug. 11. The filly will be racing far back in the early stages but should be finishing fast. A quick and/or contested pace would help her chances.
