2nd pick: #2 (Thunder Basin) (6-1) - Interesting price play, he's working fast for his first race since late September and first on the west coast. He had some promise earlier in his career and is racing at his favorite trip 6-1-3-0. Has a shot at a square price if ready.
3rd pick: #3 (Warren's Wesley) (4-1) - This is his 12th attempt at getting his second win. Gelding has been competitive in most all of those starts and enters off a pair of back-to-back second-place finishes facing weaker. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Vartan) (5-1) - Speedy sort has gone 6-1-1-3 since coming off a long layoff June 19. Lightly-raced he's been sharp in both attempts at this distance and should be involved from gate-to-wire.
