She broke her maiden here at this distance July 25 in her first start since April 11, first on the West Coast, and first for trainer Simon Callaghan. Nicely spotted, she can win right back.
2nd pick: #5 (Donut Girl) (6-1) - She's been sharp in two of three on the grass, with her lone sub par effort coming when she started slowly in a $100K stakes March 31 at Santa Anita. Freshened up since May 31, she's won both career attempts when racing fresh. In the mix.
3rd pick: #1 (Into the South) (3-1) - Unraced since May 26, she's making her West Coast debut and does so following a trainer switch to Mike McCarthy, a 17% winning angle. One run type has been competitive in three straight dirt sprints and is on the grass for only the 2nd time. She finished fourth in a G3 sprint at Belmont in early October on it, has a ground saving post, and is a threat in this spot.
