Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (EMPRESSOF LUV) (2-1) - A veteran won two in a row facing similar in sprints at Los Alamitos during September with both coming off a claim by Ed Freeman. A very consistent for a horse at this level, and she'll be tough if holding her form off a seven-week freshening.
2nd pick: #3 (Princess Dorian) (5-2) - This mare drops a bit and shortens up in distance after winning a mile contest for a $10,000 claiming price Oct. 13 at Santa Anita. Most of her sprints came facing much tougher, and she did finish 4th June 16 going 6.5 furlongs while facing $50K starter-allowance foes. A win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Just Be Held) (8-1) - Mare doesn't win very often, three for 27 on the dirt, but the stalker has been competitive in two of her last three. She finished 2nd, four lengths in back of 'Empress of Luv' Sept. 8 at Los Al, then was 6.5 behind here Sept. 22. She draws a good post here and may grab a share at a big price.
