Premium Pick

Top pick: #2 (BRAZILIAN COURT) (3-1) - He's racing back into shape following a year's absence and comes off a rallying second-place finish here at this level on Aug. 13. He's worked since, trainer Bob Hess Jr. is having a strong meet, and should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.

2nd pick: #12 (Sidepocket Champ) (7-2) - Stretch-out sprinter has a speed/stalking style, takes a big drop in class, and most all his success has come on synthetic surfaces 4-1-0-2. Win candidate.

3rd pick: #11 (Goyan) (9-2) - Gelding enters off a career best when he set a quick pace and held gamely until the final 1/16th when he tired to finish third. Less than a length off of "Brazilian Court" that day and a win candidate this afternoon.

4th pick: #8 (Warren's Cliff S) (6-1) - Longshot takes a big drop in class and is moving from turf back to the all weather surface. He's been racing evenly of late and is a stretch threat at a big price.
