3rd pick: #5 (Forever Poe) (7-2) - $850K son of 'Colonel John' switches to the dirt while stretching out in distance. He rallied to finish second debuting in a grass sprint Oct. 20 at Belmont and it's noted that the very selective Mike Smith takes the mount.
4th pick: #2 (Eddy Forever) (4-1) - He tired while wide after chasing the pace to check in a distant third at this level and distance Oct. 13 at Santa Anita. From the Baffert barn, he's worked fast since and must be left in the mix.
5th pick: #9 (Champers) (6-1) - Competitive in 3-of-4, one run type has positive experience on the dirt and is capable of getting a share in this spot.
