2nd pick: #4 (La Premiere Etoile) (5-2) - Home bred enters off a wide and even fourth place finish here at this trip Aug 10. Positive effort came off almost a 2.5 month break and Reddam runner has fine early speed. Win candidate, I came very close to making her the top selection.
3rd pick: #1 (Southern Drawl) (5-1) - Blinkers go on filly who lacks early speed. She made up some ground last out and was only a 1/2 length in back of 'La Premiere Etoile.' Daughter of 'Curlin' can factor, but needs some pace help for anything more than a minor award.
4th pick: #2 (Cyclone Betty) (20-1) - Stretch out sprinter moves up in class and is racing on the grass for the first time. Filly will take them as far as she can at a big price if she runs.
