2nd pick: #6 (Eichel) (3-1) - Freshened up for the past two months, he tired while extremely wide to check in fourth at this level going 5.5 furlongs Sept. 23 at Los Alamitos. Stalker is working fast over at San Luis Rey Downs and is dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #7 (Proud of Our Kids) (4-1) - Lightly-raced, he's cutting back in distance in his first facing winners. He broke his maiden Oct. 30 at Santa Anita going 8.5 furlongs for a $30K tag. It earned him a career best figure and this home bred is from a capable barn (Ed Truman).
4th pick: #5 (French General) (20-1) - Longshot ships back from Turf Paradise where he tired while wide to finish fourth in a $100K stakes Nov. 5 traveling six furlongs. May grab a minor award at a big price, but a win appears to be out of his reach at this point.
