Home bred was beaten two lengths here facing tougher Nov. 11 and has worked twice since. Gelding gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Woodstock Memory) (4-1) - He's cutting back a furlong following a fourth place local finish at this tag going seven furlongs Nov. 12. He had all sorts of problems right at the break and did well under the circumstances. He had finished second in his previous pair and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Pop Pop's Pizza) (5-1) - From the same barn (Phil D'Amato) as 'Minterized,' he tired while wide going 5.5 furlongs at this $20K tag Oct. 22 at Santa Anita. It was his first start in 13 months and he most likely needed the race. Must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #7 (Little Mustard) (6-1) - Long time maiden is shortening up a bit after a pair of even efforts at this level going seven furlongs. Three-year-old is racing first off a claim and has been competitive in three of four local starts in the past.
