(# 2) CONSECRATION - This trainer is not known for pushing his horses too much when they are two-years-old. This colt by Pulpit is no exception, having a pair of educational races at Saratoga before being given the remainder of 2006 off. Colt managed to finish second in both tries, which came at five-and-a-half furlongs. In his initial start he pressed the pace from the inside and held well to a useful runner in Soaring By. This horse showed some versatility in next attempt by stalking while wide and finishing second to runaway winner City Snitch. Not seen again until the recently concluded Keeneland Spring meet, trainer added blinkers to colts equipment and he responded with a nifty victory, in racehorse time, over the Polytrack surface. Had spent the winter at Gulfstream where he worked well without starting. Runner comes back very quickly for barn that likes to give them some time between their starts, so he must be feeling just fine. Super work since the win and we'll see if he can transfer that Polytrack form to the dirt. As a side note this colt is owned by the wonderful Janney family, the people that brought us the great Ruffian.

The Plays: $10 to win and $10 to place on #2.
Total Wager = $20.00.
