Sent in for a five month break at that time by trainer Mike Maker, home-bred daughter of "Kitten's Joy" tuned up for this by finishing an even third on the Keeneland "poly" April 7th in the (G1) Alcibiades Stakes. That should set her up perfectly to win this.
2nd pick: #10 (Treasured Up) - Lightly-raced filly by "Medglia d'Oro cost a "cool" $450,000 and has come to hand quickly for the patient barn of Al Stall Jr. She's won two in a row, breaking her maiden on the Fair Grounds turf Feb. 26, then winning at Keeneland on April 14th in her first facing winners. Strong finisher looks set for another big effort.
3rd pick: #1 (More Than Love) - She's clearly better on the grass and moves back to the infield folowing a poor effor at Turfway Park racing on "poly" March 24th. Working fast at Belmont for this, speedy filly has the inside post and should be involved from start to finish.
4th pick: #7 (Miz Ida) - Home-bred daughter of "Proud Citizen" is 3-for-4 on the turf and last out on March 10th at the Fair Grounds she won a $75K stakes. Other tha Stephanie's Kitten, she's the only other who has won here and that came in her maiden win Oct 30th.
