He was competitive in both starts last fall and finished third here at this level going a mile in late October. On the sidelines since, he's training fast and colt breezed a bullet 5 furlongs from the gate Oct 25 at Keeneland. He looks set for his maiden win.
2nd pick: #5 (Riverboat Gambler) (4-1) - Competitive in four of his five starts, he finished a close-up third at this level and distance Oct. 18 at Keeneland. Stalker worked at his home base of Woodbine Nov. 2 and can factor with his normal effort.
3rd pick: #1 (Debating) (3-1) - Colt has been freshened up since finishing second going 6 furlongs Aug. 25 at Ellis Park. The winner that afternoon scored again last out and this $525,000 son of 'Giant's Causeway' earned a big figure in defeat. He's breezed a half-dozen times since Oct. 1 including a quick 4 furlongs here Nov. 4. An obvious contender from the Asmussen barn.
4th pick: #3 (Rare Form) (8-1) - Longshot has been away from action since tiring badly in a two-turn contest at Gulfstream Park March 3. $450K son of 'The Factor' has a fine series of works on view for his return and may grab a share at a big price.
