She was a 6.5-length maiden winner at this distance on the dirt at Gulfstream April 2, then tired late to finish 4th in a grass stakes at that same trip May 2. Back on the main track for this assignment, and I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #3 (Dreamalildreamofu) (9-2) - A lightly raced filly by 'Commissioner,' she broke her maiden by three lengths when going a mile on the Fair Grounds turf March 21. In her follow up April 10 at Oaklawn, she checked in a fine 3rd, finishing 1.5 lengths in back of today's rival, 'Strong Flag.' Stalker draws well and is in the mix today.
3rd pick: #6 (Strong Flag) (7-2) - A maiden winner at this distance at Oaklawn March 15, she then finished 2nd there April 10, and was 1.5 lengths in front of 'Dreamalildreamofu' that afternoon. The latest saw her race evenly in a stakes there May 1, and she's an obvious contender in this spot.
4th pick: #5 (Tempers Rising) (3-1) - This filly has been competitive in all eight attempts and went 3-1-1-1 here last Fall, breaking her maiden at this distance Nov. 22. Stakes placed twice since then, this daughter of 'Bayern' should factor with her normal effort.
