Last out here he took some late money and finished a pace-chasing second in a much improved second attempt. Trainer Mark Glatt is having a strong meet and he drops this son of "Candy Ride" down in price. 3-year-old draws a nice post and whatever speed there is breaks to his left. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Spectacularjourney) (9-2) - Logical contender missed by a head here at this tag on May 12th in what was a career best. Gelding has been showing steady improvement for some time now and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Fernando Suancini) (3-1) - He rallied while wide to check in 3rd of 11, beaten just over two lengths when debuting here at this tag on May 11th. Solid effort and he's since come back with a pair of works. Small barn (Darrell Vienna) stretches him out a furlong and that should be in his favor.
4th pick: #12 (Annunaki) (6-1) - Away tardily in his debut here on May 10th, trainer Marty Jones drops him from $50K down to $20,000 and he should show whatever talent he has in this spot.
5th pick: #6 (Neil Healy) (12-1) - Longshot has been racing evenly and trainer Kate Walsh will halve him in price and shorten him up in distance. Gelding had a sharp half-mile breeze on June 1st that indicates a better effort may be coming today.
