Top pick: #5 (SCARLET STRIKE) (5-2) - Very consistent (11-2-4-5) daughter of "Smart Strike" has really picked it up of late and last out was beaten a head on this course in the (G3) "Senorita" stakes going a mile. Strong finisher is one of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer and this filly should love the extra furlong she travels this afternoon.
2nd pick: #4 (Macha) (8-1) - The second of the Hollendorfer pair, she's improved since switching to the turf and appears to be the type that will appreciate this added distance. Price play.
3rd pick: #8 (Sarach) (8-1) - Freshened up since beaten three lengths by "Scarlet" in a stakes last out, stalker has a bullet 5-furlong breeze just six days ago and that indicates that she can contend at a big price.
4th pick: #9 (Charlie Em) (4-1) - English import won the (G3) "Senorita" here May 11th in her first in North America and first since early Nov. Working fine, but think she'll be over-bet and holds no real advantage.
5th pick: #1 (Somethingabouther) (20-1) - She's the main speed and breaks from the rail. If longshot is left alone in the early stages she could hang on for a share at a big price.
