Top pick: #5 (LAST EQUITY) - Comes from the same owner (Reddam Racing) as this year's Kentucky Derby (G1) willer "I'll Have Another". Colt has been prepared at San Luis Rey Downs by trainer Ed Freeman and had a bullet 3-furlong work from the gate there back on April 7th. Meets a weak looking field of mostly fillies for his debut and can take this with a sharp break.
2nd pick: #2 (Gambulina) - She makes her debut and has been in steady training here since early February. Some of the works are on the "quick" side, including a bullet 3-furlong breeze on March 31st (best of 45 that AM). It's of note that jockey Romano Guce comes in from Los Alamitos for the mount.
3rd pick: #3 (Kiptiddy Do) - Another filly and she already has a pair of starts to build on. Both appearances came facing special weights and trainer Walt Solis will drop her into a claimer for the first time.
