(# 4) LEAP DAY - This marks runners first start ever against fellow New York breds. He's run well in all of his races against open maidens and the cutback today to seven furlongs should be just right. His last two morning drills leading into this are excellent.

(# 9) Stormin Normandy - Expensive yearling ($375,000) hasn't been seen since October of last season when still a two- year-old. Ran deceptively well in both starts, breaking awkwardly in first start from post 12 at Saratoga, then having to run hard from an inside post against open maidens at Keeneland. Switched over to Dutrow from the Lukas barn, he is a dangerous rival.

(# 1) Western Call - Ran well in initial start, though the field and the figure earned were weak. Draws a very tough post and will have to be used hard early unless he can rate.

(# 8) Mr. Bibbs - Firster from Penn National trained by Todd Beatie has been sending out strong first-time runners for several years now. Works and post are fine, gelding debuts with Lasix.
