Mare got good around this time last summer and was able to put together a nice series of races including a win in a New York Bred Stakes at Saratoga. Has won on the lead and from a stalker's position. Price level is perfect.

(# 6) Spenny - Turf sprint should have speedy daughter of Menifee set up for the return to dirt. Can bring a big "on the engine" try every now and then and this race seems to fit into her style.

(# 4) Short Fuse Tara - Balsamo claimed her from Contessa last out and she bumps runner back up to $40K off the $25K halter. It's not that big of a deal as she had been running well at this level, or even higher, for quite a while. Has been beaten fair and square by the top two this year and needs to make those lengths up somewhere.
