(# 1) BANROCK - Good solid turf performer from the Tom Bush barn. Nice 2007 debut run to finish second at this level and distance on May 28. Should be able to save ground early, move up on the inside around the turn, stay there or swing out down the lane. The more pace the better.

(# 7) Wave the Baton - Stretches out off of a turf sprint to the mile distance today. That was a pretty tough bunch in that $35K race and this runner moves back in here with state-bred competition. Has speed, a good post and has performed very well at this distance in the past. The horse the top pick must catch.

(# 3) Couth - He looked well set up for the mile try in last race. Alas, the racing Gods struck again as poor start cost him any chance at a winning performance. Both lifetime wins are over this course and colt should come up with a big effort today.
