Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (UNI) (3-1) - One of three entered by trainer Chad Brown, and the trio all race as separate betting interests. English bred filly went 6-2-2-1 racing in France before being imported and has been sharp in both starts this year. Strong finisher gets a slight edge in a deep field.
2nd pick: #3 (La Coronel) (7-2) - Speed/stalker finished almost two lengths in back of 'Uni' Aug. 19 at Saratoga. She's won three G3 stakes in the past and should be involved from start-to-finish here.
3rd pick: #10 (Inflexibility) (5-1) - Another of the Chad Brown trio, she ships from Woodbine where she won a $225,000 stakes for fellow Canadian breds going 10 furlongs July 30. She broke her maiden here May 4 and is an obvious factor if able to avoid a wide trip from her outside post.
4th pick: #2 (Fifty Five) (12-1) - She rounds out the three fillies from the Brown barn. Longshot is very competitive, draws a ground saving post, and she finished 2nd here at this distance in a G3 stakes June 8. I think she can be in this at a square price.
5th pick: #9 (Defiant Honor) (6-1) - Filly moves up in class after winning a G3 stakes going a mile at Saratoga Aug. 24. She still has room for upside and is in the barn of grass specialist Jimmy Toner. Another that needs to avoid a wide trip from her post.
