Top pick: #11 (SUMMER FRONT) - Talented colt by "War Front" has raced well in all four starts (4-3-1-0) winning a pair of stakes on the grass and last out finishing 2nd on the all weather surface at Keeneland in the Lexington S. (G3). He has a sharp 6-furlong drill on this surface May 6th and will be making his first start on real dirt. Gets the call in a race where a case can be made for all dozen 3-year-olds.

2nd pick: #5 (Mark Valeski) - Colt missed narrowly at the Fair Grounds in both the (G2) Risen Star and the (G2) Louisiana Derby. Trainer Larry Jones skipped the Kentuckly Derby (G1) and decided to point this 3-year-old towards the Belmont stakes (G1). Working fast for this, he has a flexible style and is an obvious threat with his best.

3rd pick: #10 (Teeth of the Dog ) - He broke his maiden at this distance Feb. 4 at Gulfstream, then ran a creditable third in the Wood Memorial (G1) two months later in his first facing winners. Trainer Mike Matz has worked him three time in the past 22 days and a repeat of his last "figure" makes him a factor.

4th pick: #1 (Right to Vote) - Very lightly raced, he's the only horse entered with a win on this surface. Gelding broke his maiden here Sept 17, then finished a strong third on Oct. 8 in the Champagne S. (G1). Away for 4 1/2 months following that start, he won his seasonal bow at Gulfstream March 24th. Working fast for this, I'd like him more, but the rail post in this one-turn, 9-furlong contest contest is often difficult.
