Top pick: #2 (UNCLE BRENT) - Very lightly-raced colt has been sharp in all three starts and last out won the Northern Spur S. on the Arkansas Derby under card at Oaklawn Park April 16th. Working very fast at Churchill Downs before heading here he has the look of a colt with a bright future. Gets a class test this afternoon and also races away from Oaklawn for the first time. The top pick in a competitive contest.

2nd pick: #10 (Joe Vann) - Much improved of late as he's won three in a row including a sharp score in the Illinois Derby (G3) at Hawthorne April 9th. Working fine locally and he looks to be "peaking" at the right time. His speed makes him dangerous.

3rd pick: #6 (Alternation) - Colt was away "slowly" in the Arkansas Derby, but rallied strongly to finish fifth of 13, beaten just over 6 lengths. Home-bred by "Distorted Humor" is working fast for this and is the type that can "run all day." Stretch threat.

4th pick: #11 (Monzon) - Certainly has ability and has been "gingerly" handled by his connections. Home-bred from the legendary Sagamore Farm in Maryland is working great, never gets tired, and will be flying late. The faster the pace the better his chances.
