Top pick: #9 (PETEY CRAMER) - He's racing back into shape following a pair of layoffs and trainer Rudy Rodriguez has him stringing starts together. Grey gelding comes back from Saratoga where he was competitive in both starts at this level and in his latest was beaten a neck. Believe this 7 furlong distance should be the right elixir to get him into the winners circle.

2nd pick: #12 (Countknickerbocker) - He exits the same two "Spa" contests as "Petey" and defeated him by a 1/2 length on Aug 13th, then lost to him by a long neck on Sep 1st. Improving, has a bullet work 6 days ago, and draws a great outside post for this 7 furlong trip.

3rd pick: #1 (Western Tryst) - Stakes placed home-bred flew home to miss by a nose last out at saratoga and edged both "Petey" and "Count" in the process. Likes the local grass and he finished 2nd in a $75K stakes here at this distance on June 3rd.

4th pick: #2 (Jeter) - Talented 3yo by "Lawyer Ron" finished 2nd last out at saratoga at this distance on the main track in his first back off a 75 day freshening. Working fine since and trainer Rick Dutrow will race him on the turf for the first time. It's nice to see Ramon Dominguez stay put.
