He was beaten 3.5 lengths here at this distance facing tougher last out and earned a career best figure. Jose Ortiz stays aboard and I give this 3yo a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Exchange Fever) (5-1) - He ships back from Laurel where he missed by a 'nose' going 5.5 furlongs facing 'open' $16K claimers. He had also run second at this level Aug. 30 at Saratoga and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #12 (Captain Courageous) (8-1) - A lightly raced 3yo, he missed by just under a length at this level and distance here Sept. 15. It was a career best effort and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #11 (Plebe) (4-1) - Speedy sort hasn't raced since tiring facing tougher here June 6. That was his first start in ten months so he obviously has some issues. Gelding has a new trainer veteran Bruce Levine and he drops this 3yo into a claimer for this attempt.
