It was her first off a re-claim by Brad Cox and in her only previous attempt at today's seven-furlong distance, she missed by a 'nose' July 4. I think she can break her maiden in this afternoon's finale.
2nd pick: #1 (Erin More) (7-2) - A lightly raced home bred by 'More Than Ready,' she's dropping into a claimer following a pair of even efforts facing special weights. From the Pletcher barn, he's won with 28 of 69 (41%) on this type of class reduction in 2018-19. Filly has the rail, John Velazquez aboard, and she's a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Ghostly Beauty) (6-1) - She raced close up and held down the show spot, a length behind 'Shannon's Girl' here going six furlongs Sept. 22. It was a good effort, and this $80K purchase should like the additional furlong she travels in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (To a Friend) (12-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly when checking in three lengths behind 'Shannon's Girl' and only a length in back of 'Chostly Beauty.' Well bred filly draws a fine post and this daughter of 'Scat Daddy' is capable of factoring at a big price.
5th pick: #8 (Happy Home) (12-1) - Another longshot, she ships from Philly Park where she finished 2nd as the favorite going five furlongs at this $40K tag Sept. 28. It was her second back following a 19-month layoff, and it's very interesting that Irad Ortiz, Jr. gets aboard this 4yo by 'Tiznow.'
